A New Canvas

Mat 9:17
Neither do men put new wine into old bottles:
else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out,
and the bottles perish: but they put new wine
into new bottles, and both are preserved.

One of the ways that the enemy can trip us up is
walking the past. There are some things in your life you
ought not bring up ever again. I am not talking about forgetting
some things because there are tests you go through whereby
you learn from them but I am talking about when you begin to
constantly begin to rehearse your past by always bringing it up.

If someone hurt you, learn to let it go. Consider it a seed sewn
on your behalf because you never know when you may need
the same grace & mercy extended to you.

Haven’t you ever held a person hostage in your mind?
When you do that, you are obviously not over what the
other party did to you. They could be moving on with their
lives while you remain secretly miserable. Even if was not
your fault, learn to pray not against the person but the
actions of the person. God may not love our actions all
the time but he does love us. Just because you made a
bad decision does not make you a bad person. There is
hope for you to heal and recover from circumstances and
situations.

It is difficult to preserve godly counsel about an issue if
that issue has set up a residence in your mind. Walking
with God requires flexibility. You don’t have to base your
life on what happened in the past. Sometimes we have to
reanalyze our expectations with people. Some of our expectations
are too high and on the other hand some expectations are too low.

When we let the past be the past we can think more clearly and
focus on the future which will present new opportunities.

Just remember, when your past threatens to come into
where you are now, don’t take it lightly and rebuke it quickly.
Be careful of the comparisons you make between old and new
relationships. Continue to walk into the future and receive
the direction of God so that new wisdom can be preserved.

With Love
